This old saying is true for both people and pets. At Bluegrass, we believe the best medicine is actually preventing diseases and syndromes. That is why we cannot stress enough how important it is to bring your pet into the clinic at least once yearly for a wellness examination and check. At this appointment, we will do a thorough physical examination plus the vaccines and diagnostic tests deemed necessary for your pet.
Typical dog yearly consists of:
  • Physical Examination
  • Heartworm Blood Test
  • Fecal Parasite Test
  • Rabies Vaccine
  • DHLP-P Vaccine (which consists of distemper virus, adenovirus-2, Leptospira, parvo virus, and parainfluenza)
  • Bordetella Vaccine
Typical cat yearly consists of:
  • Physical Examination
  • Fecal Parasite Test
  • Rabies Vaccine
  • FVRCP Vaccine (which consists of herpes virus-1, calicivirus, and panleukopenia)
  • Feline Leukemia Virus Vaccine
